Our client is a South African Independent Power Producer based in Cape Town.

This is a new role as the company expands and an additional experienced Head of Asset Management is required.

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects from financial close (FC) through construction to the commercial operation date (COD) and during operations and maintenance (O+M).

The primary goal is to ensure the assets are constructed and operated in compliance with the respective governing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the financial and commercial-legal aspects of projects, including financial statement reporting, business activity reporting, forecast reporting, and financial model reporting.

1. Lead and coordinate all activities and work streams during the construction phase, ensuring alignment between all stakeholders, such as environmental managers, project managers, financial controllers, legal teams, document controllers, and land managers.

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, brokers, clients, and lenders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or qualification in higher education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Construction, Operations, Engineering, or related field.

• 6-10 years of experience in project portfolio management or asset management.
